Meet the Dentist

Dr. Ryan Hartley completed his undergraduate education at The University of Michigan where he graduated with a bachelor’s of science in Microbiology. He then earned both a Master’s and Doctorate degree at Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Before returning to Michigan, he completed an externship at Boston’s

Health Care for the Homeless Program where he spent his time doing surgical and full mouth extractions, dentures, and a variety of general dentistry for a community in dire need. Dr. Hartley is currently spending time taking courses with various implant institutions working to earn a specialty in Implantology.

Dr. Hartley lives in the Grand Rapids area with his wife, Nicole, and two daughters Evelyn (2) and Norah (1).

When he isn’t spending time with his family, he enjoys fishing, being outdoors, and all things Michigan football. God is the foundation of Ryan’s life and he attends church at South Harbor. In 2019, Dr. Ryan established a non-profit, Smile South Africa, that delivered toothbrushes, toothpaste and dental care to remote villages in the bush of the Limpopo province where infrastructure and dental care are lacking.
